London Lionhearts Volleyball Club

The season trainings are now starting again.

For the first few weeks of the season, starting Monday 16th August, both women premiership teams (team 1 & team 2) will train together on Monday and Thursday at Bethnal Green S.C from 7 to 9pm. This is to assess the level of each player, get enough people to make it worthwhile and get back into shape before the season starts with 2 trainings a week. Trainings will be managed by Allan Mungroo and Thomas Mercier.

Women team 3 (waiting for confirmation if promotion to division 1) will start training on Sunday 22nd August at Bethnal Green S.C from 6 to 8pm (there won't be any training today, sorry for the late notice).

Men Team 1 (premiership) training won't start until Thursday 9th September. This is due to uncertainty on the location of the sport center, we are still waiting for confirmation from the venues. We will keep you updated as soon as we have more information.

Summer Open Sessions are now over. But don't worry, it is only a short break of a couple of weeks. Due to the massive success of these sessions, we start all year round open sessions most Sunday's at Bethnal Green from Sunday 5th September - 4 to 6pm. Occasionally, we may use this slot for rescheduled games (so teams get more training practises). These open sessions are free for the club members, non club members will have to pay £5.

Just a quick reminder about our Open Session tomorrow 7-9 pm (and every Thursday until the end of August). Come and join us if you can.
Due to the increase in cost of hiring the gym at Bethnal Green Sport Center, the sessions will now cost £5 pp.

London Lionhearts Volleyball Club starts its Summer Open Sessions again every Thursday from the 1st of July until the end of August from 7 to 9pm at Bethnal Green Sport Center. Feel free to join us for some fun and for the social side of volleyball. New players can meet some existing members, it is also a good way to stay fit and active before the season restarts in September.

Cost: £4 per person per session

When: Every Thursday from 7 to 9pm

Saturday 12th June from 5.30 onwards, the Lionhearts sports club and friends will be at the Poet wine bar, 82 middlesex street, E1 (near liverpool street station) to watch the first England world cup game. We have arranged massive concessions on food and drink.

All are welcome.

The 2009/10 season is now OVER, there is no training session or games during the summer, maybe occasionals volleyball in the park every now and then. But don't worry, it all restarts at the end of August for the first trainings and early October for the matches.
