Merry Xmas and Happy New Year

2011 has been another fantastic year for Lions and i am delighted you were able to join us for it. I would like to say a huge thanks to all our members and associates for their support, kind words and suggestions. Thank you to the coaches and team secretaries to make the trainings and matches work on schedule and according to plan.

I look forward to seeing you all in the new year on or off court and together let's make volleyball more a part of our community. Let's make the lions roar even louder in 2012 and I am sure with your support and dedication, we will make Lions one of the best club in London.

I wish you all a Merry Xmas and a happy new year.

This is due to the scheduled game of the Lionhearts Men 2 match against Chadwell Heath Lynx.

Feel free to come, watch, enjoy the game and cheer to the guys at Bethnal Green S.C at 8pm.
They haven't lost a match so far, so let's keep it that way !

Busy Sunday for our women volleyball teams

Last Sunday (30th October 2011), all our women teams had a game on.

First of all, the Lionhearts Women 1 went to fight the mighty IVA on their home ground at Jubilee S.C. Despite the great play, good defence and a fighting spirit, Allan's team lost 3-2. What a shame, as this year team is very strong.

Then Lionhearts Women 2, also playing away, were meeting Croydon a newly promoted premiership team. The girls crushed Crodyon 3-0, in an easy game with no real big surprise. Well done to the well oiled team.

Finally, a Lionhearts vs Lionhearts clash as we like them. Team 3 hosting the game and Team 4 first game of the season. Greg's team were the favourites as they came down from division 1 last year, and had a couple of years experience under their belt. Nonetheless, a strong start for the fresh lionhearts 4 team. With bench players always cheering loudly for their teammates, the whole team lifted their level. Unfortunately, Nico's team wasn't a match for Lionhearts 4. The game ended with a 3-0 for team 4, followed by a Lionhearts night out at a local Brazilian restaurant .... in true Lionhearts spirit!
